On this spot, on the night of 31 October 1981,
Lily and James Potter lost their lives.
Their son, Harry, remains the only wizard
ever to have survived the Killing Curse.
This house, invisible to Muggles, has been left
in its ruined state as a monument to the Potters
and as a reminder of the violence
that tore apart their family.

cockiness is so attractive to me in a way and it’s so irritating. like it’s annoying. and it annoys me. but the kind of expression and body language that comes with it. the self-satisfied attitude. the smug comments. the eye rolling. the smirking. “come and get me” hand gestures during a fight. eyebrow raising with an air of superiority. it’s just like. fuck you. i’m annoyed right now. i am so annoyed right now. but oh my fuck i am also so very, very attracted right now

Lily Evans and the seven years of oh fucking shit it’s James Potter.

It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even really think of James and Lily as dead anymore. Like, I consciously know that they’re not alive in the series and that they die before they got a chance to raise Harry but it still doesn’t feel like it. Like, I’ve read and written so many fanfictions about them and in them they’re alive. They’re just so alive and vibrant and there in my mind that there are times when I have to stop and remind myself that they die. It’s almost like … like … the marauders’ era is almost this moment in time, where everything is paused and I don’t have to think about or truly acknowledge the fact that Lily and James are dead. It’s like they never die. idk

i do like jealous!james and jealous!lily but i’m also really drawn to the idea of lily and james being really popular and people getting crushes on them or admiring them all the time but neither of them getting jealous because there’s just no danger at all that they’d leave each other like its laughable

like i imagine james surrounded by his admirers in the common room after-party after he plays spectacularly and leads his team to victory in a quidditch match, and james is naturally just very flirty so he’s like soaking it all up and lily’s busy laughing and chatting with her friends in a corner and paying no attention

and then one of lily’s friends notices james showing off in the middle of the room and they whisper ‘but lily look at that girl obviously eyeing him and he doesn’t seem bothered by it and aren’t you bothered by it?’ and lily just laughs and goes ‘please. that boy doesn’t have a disloyal bone in his body’

and sure enough he spots her a few minutes later and comes over grinning and snogs her and then they tease each other and make each other laugh and just enjoy each other’s company for the rest of the party

aaaah just lily and james having a super healthy relationship is so appealing i love them

PART ONE of my gift to the lovely and amazing Michelle! Happy Secret Septemer Santa <3

‘Fuck.’

Sirius had slammed his bag down onto the breakfast table, the jug of pumpkin juice shaking precariously, and sat down with a scowl. Peter had followed with an expression none too happier.

‘What?’ James inquired, a rather amused expression crossing his face. He sat beside Lily, the two always down at breakfast earliest, and raised a questioning eyebrow at his friends.
‘Slughorn just gave us detention.’ Peter glowered. ‘Tonight.’

James’ grin quickly fell. ‘Shit.’

“It won’t open.”

“I see that, James. Is there a code or something you have to enter?”

James’ eyes widened, and he grinned at Lily, the water droplets on his glasses covering his eyes. “Of course, Lily, you’re a genius!” He fished into his pocket, pulling out a pamphlet and brandishing it in front of Lily’s face. “How did I not remember this?”

“… Remember what?”  [x]

Harry’s early years as an orphan and outcast will be the focus of the drama, which could well be in a London theatre by late next year.

The piece will also explore the story of Harry’s parents, ace wizards Lily Evans Potter and James Potter.
